Jihyung Youn
Born in Seoul in 1999, she graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School of Music with top honors,and graduated summa qum laude from Yonsei University’s Piano Department. She has won in a number of competitions including Korea’s two biggest and most recognized competitions, namely Busan Music Competition, and Joongang Music Concours. In addition, she was selected as a semi-finalist at the 62nd and 63rd Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, 70th Viotti International Music Competition and 16th Seoul International Music Competition.
She participated in a number of concerts such as Kumho Young Artist Recital, Gyeonggi Young Artist Recital, Yonsei Symphony Orchestra Subscription Concert, Seoul Arts High School Subscription Concert, Seoul Arts High School Young Artist Concert, Kukmin Daily Debut Concert, Internationale Sommerakademie Mozaerteum Akademiekonzert, etc. She has performed several times with the Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, New World Philharmonic Orchestra, Hankyung Philharmonic Orchestra, and Gumnansae Youth Orchestra. She is currently studying with Professor Ian Yungwook Yoo.
