Fortunato Salvador García Piquer
Fortunato Salvador García Piquer began his musical career at the Centro de Enseñanzas Artísticas Profesionales de Música in Onda, Spain, specializing in clarinet and piano. He graduated with highest distinction and earned the Excellence Award for piano studies in 2018.
In 2022, he received his bachelor’s from the Conservatori Superior de Música “Salvador Seguí” (Castellón) with high distinction and the Academic Excellence Award from the Conselleria d’Educació Valenciana, studying with Juan Carlos Cornelles. In 2024, he graduated Cum Laude with a master’s in Classical Music Performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under Mihkel Poll and Ivari Ilja and now pursues a PhD there.
He has attended masterclasses with Angela Hewitt, Dina Yoffe, or Till Fellner, among others. He was a semifinalist at the IX M.K. Čiurlionis Competition (2023), finalist at the Gabriel Teruel Competition (2022), second prize at Laine Metsa (2021), first prize at Heljo Sepp (2022) with a scholarship, the absolute prize at the YAMAHA Piano Competition (2024), and first prize at the EAMT Soloist Competition (2023) and X Eesti Pianistide Konkurss (2024).
