Hyelee Kang

Pianist Hyelee Kang gained international recognition as a finalist at the 63rd Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. She was named the inaugural Austrian Korean Young Musician Scholar and received support from the DAAD and Clavarte Fondation.

She won first prize at the Baku International Competition in Vienna, praised by jury chair Farhad Badalbeyli. Hyelee debuted as a Kumho Young Talent, winning top prizes in national competitions, including the prestigious Korean Chopin Competition. She graduated from Seoul National University with highest honors and won the Grand Prize at the 7th Korea Liszt Competition, debuting at Budapest’s Liszt Concert Hall.

Hyelee has been a prizewinner at numerous prestigious competitions, including the Asia-Pacific Chopin Competition, the Anton Bruckner Competition, the Karlrobert Kreiten Competition, and the Jacob Flier International Competition.

She studied under Prof. Hee-Sung Joo and Prof. Pavel Gililov and is currently pursuing the Konzertexamen at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln under Prof. Claudio Martínez Mehner and Nina Tichman.
