Danylo Saienko

Danylo Saienko studied at the Mykola Lysenko Academy of Music in Lviv from 2009 to 2014 with Prof. Jozef Ermin. Since 2014 he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg with Prof. Anna Vinnizka and from 2017 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock with Prof. Mattias Kirschnereit.

He has received awards in various prestigious competitions, including: Maria Canals Competition 2015 (Barcelona, Spain) – First Prize; Paderewski Intl. Piano Competition 2022 (Bydgoszcz, Poland) – Third Prize; Intl. Piano Competition of Ile-de-France 2022 (Maisons-Laffitte, France) – First Prize; Tbilisi Intl. Piano Competition 2022 (Georgia) – Fourth Prize; Richard Viñes Intl. Piano Competition 2021 (Lleida, Spain) – Second Prize; Intl. Piano Competition “Arcangelo Speranza” 2021 (Taranto, Italy) – First Prize; Halina Czerny-Stefańska in memoriam Intl. Piano Competition 2022 (Poznan, Poland) – Finalist; Krogulski Intl. Piano Competition 2022 (Tarnów, Poland) – First Prize; Giorgos Thymis Intl. Piano Competition 2015 (Thessaloniki, Greece) – First Prize; and, Colefemmina Intl. Piano Competition 2021 (Acquaviva delle Fonti, Italy) – First Prize; among others.

Danylo actively plays solo concerts and with orchestra in Ukraine and in European countries such as Germany, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Romania, France, Slovakia and Norway.
