Natalie Schwamova

She began to play the piano at the age of six at the Music School in Prague, and completed her studies with a Master’s Degree at the Academy for Performing Arts in Prague under Frantisek Malý.

She is now studying at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid, where she has been the student of Dmitri Bashkirov, and since September 2021, of Milana Chernyavska.

She has received awards at more than 20 international competitions. Among them is second prize at the Smetana International Piano Competition in Pilsen, first prize at the Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in Marienbad, and fourth prize at the Aarhus International Piano Competition (Denmark).

At the age of 10 she made her debut with the Symphony Orchestra of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has also played with the Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava, the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in Denmark and the Prague Chamber Philharmonic.

She has given piano and chamber music recitals in Europe, the Americas and Asia, at the Auditorio Nacional of Madrid, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the Dvorak Rudolfinum Hall in the Czech Republic and at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Poland.

She has received master classes from András Schiff, Murray Perahia, Dang Thai Son, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Nikolai Demidenko, Rena Shereshevskaya, Nikolai Lugansky, etc.
