COSIMO CAROVANI, cello

Quartetto Indaco was created in 2007 at the Fiesole School of Music and is now regarded as one of the most interesting Italian string quartets of its generation.

Quartetto Indaco is hugely popular amongst audiences for their extraordinary ability to connect, and has always been highly acclaimed by specialized critics describing their performances as “a magnificent firework display, so brilliant that the venue could barely contain it.”

Indaco is a “bright, exuberant, close-knit quartet” showcasing their artistic qualities across a broad spectrum ranging from classical to contemporary, with particular fondness for 19th and 20th century composers.

In the 2019-2020 season they premiered at the Unione Musicale di Torino and the Stradivarius Festival in Cremona with the pianist Uri Caine, and were among the stars at the Beethoven marathon organised by Academia Chigiana in Siena. In the 2020-2021 season, Indico will debut in Valencia, will play in Naples with Mario Brunello, in Perugia at Amici della Musica, and will once again be the star of the Classical Milan season and the Trame Sonore Festival in Mantua.

Since 2017 they have been taking part in the international project “Le Dimore del Quartetto”.
