On 6 June at 7.30 pm, the Sala Iturbi at the Palau de la Música in Valencia will host an extraordinary concert by pianist Marta Menezes, accompanied by the Orchestra of Valencia conducted by Pablo González.

Marta Menezes is one of the most outstanding Portuguese pianists of her generation. Her recitals explore the dialogue between tradition and originality through performances that highlight the nuances, subtlety and musical sensitivity that characterise her playing. Her carefully selected repertoire, which shows an affinity with Beethoven, ranges from the Baroque to the present day and often includes works by lesser-known composers, many of them Portuguese.

The programme begins with Delius’ The Walk to the Paradise Garden, followed by Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand in D major, and will conclude with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, the ‘Pathétique’.
