The Kyiv Horowitz International Piano Festival will be held between April 13 and 21, 2023 in Geneva thanks to the strong commitment of the WFIMC (World Federation of International Music Competitions). The Federation has strongly involved itself with providing aid to one of its members in the face of the terrible war situation that is being experienced in Ukraine, and with the aim of overcoming violence through music, always placing hopes on people.
This international competition for young pianists is held every two years in Kyiv (Ukraine) since 1995, the year it was founded in honour of the Ukrainian-born pianist Vladimir Horowitz. It is the only contest of this nationality within the WFIMC, of which it has been a part since 2004.
